What Happens During Surgery?

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia in most cases. A small incision is made at the base of the nose in a natural crease to minimize visibility. A tiny strip of skin is removed, and the remaining skin is gently lifted and sutured to a higher position, creating a subtle upward rotation of the upper lip.
